Ispica: Carabinieri and State Police arrest the person responsible for the Noto shooting

On the night of November 3, the Carabinieri of the Noto Company and personnel from the State Police Station subjected the arrest of a crime suspect for the crime of attempted murder, 48enne from Ispica with a police record.

The man, during the afternoon, around 15.30 pm, in Via Cavour, after a family quarrel, has fired several gunshots in the direction of his daughter's ex-boyfriend, 19enne with a police record, without being able to reach it as the young man he managed to save himself. After a few minutes the 48-year-old had fired another 5 gunshots at the young man's home, before fleeing.

Following timely investigative activities, conducted jointly by the Carabinieri and the State Police, the dynamics of the events were reconstructed, thanks to the analysis of the footage from the city's video surveillance system, some testimonies and technical surveys on the sites.

Around 21.00 pm the Carabinieri of Ispica they located and stopped the man in that center, where he resides. During the search was found and an illegally held gun seized.

The gesture would be based on a argument that occurred in the early afternoon on Saturday between the 48-year-old's daughter and her ex-boyfriend.

The arrested man, also reported for illegal possession of weapons, was associated with the “Cavadonna” prison at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Syracuse which coordinated the investigative activities.
