Illegal landfill at the Barracks in La Spezia: 3 complaints are filed.

A gang unmasked which he managed an illegal landfill in the Casermette area and in the former fire brigade barracks of La Spezia. An investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office and which involved the Local Police and Forestry Carabinieri.

Two Bosnian brothers aged 41 and 37 and a 54-year-old Serbian woman were reported for having organized the illegal transport of waste and created and managed the illegal landfill: over 400 cubic meters of accumulated material.

The procedure implemented by the suspects saw the 41-year-old Bosnian collect various waste, mostly special. Thus, following his movements, it was ascertained that 19 companies illegally gave him waste for an untraceable disposal which evaded current environmental legislation.

Battery, insulating, plasterboard and construction waste they were disposed of in the former Fire Brigade area, owned by a real estate company, and on neighboring land owned by the Municipality of La Spezia.

Investigators found that they were also used as a warehouse for waste of the trucks already under criminal seizure owned by the 54-year-old Serbian.

Two trucks were preventively seized and three caravans removed. The owners of the 19 companies that illegally disposed of the waste will all be reported for the illegal disposal. A minor was also involved, reported to the Juvenile Court of Genoa.
