Funds: illegal immigration, controls begin, two illegal foreigners will be repatriated.
An extraordinary control service of the territory was carried out by the State Police, coordinated by the PS Commissariat of Fondi, with the help of some crews from the Lazio Crime Prevention Department and the use of personnel in civilian clothes, aimed at combating of illegal immigration, often a harbinger of phenomena of exploitation and degradation.
On this occasion, a series of targeted checks were conducted at abandoned sites used as shelters, the railway station and its appurtenances, as well as some homes to check the number of occupants in relation to the size and regularity of the rental contracts.
Among the numerous foreigners checked, the almost majority were found to be in compliance with the qualifications required to remain on national territory, however, procedures for repatriation to their country of origin were initiated against two Indian citizens who entered Italy illegally. .
The same men, born in 1982 and 2000, both from New Delhi, had already been checked by Flying Squad personnel, and had been formally invited to present themselves at the Immigration Office for checks on their entry, a warning which they had not complied with.
Once the offense had been ascertained, administrative sanctions of the amount of were imposed against them 172 euros each.
Once the investigations aimed at tracing them were started, they were surprised while sleeping at the home of one of their compatriots, currently outside Italy, hosted without the usual communications to the PS Authority having been followed.
Subjected to regular investigations by the Scientific Police, the absence of any authorization for their entry and stay on the National Territory was confirmed.
The two were also found in possession of a few hundred euros, the origin of which is presumed to be the proceeds of irregular work, on which investigations are underway.
Investigations are also underway regarding the making available of the property for residential use in favor of irregular foreign citizens, for whom the Consolidated Law on Immigration provides for the possibility of proceeding with the seizure of the building.
As part of the operation, steps were also taken to implement the Ordinance implementing house detention against a convicted felon from Fondi, born in 1973, already burdened by convictions for predatory crimes.
