In the afternoon, the State Police arrested for robbery a 36-year-old Moroccan, with several previous convictions for property and weapons crimes, illegal in the territory and without a fixed abode, also reporting him for failure to comply with the Order of the Police Commissioner to leave the state within the 7 days provided for.
At around 18.30 pm, two foreign citizens, clearly of North African origin, after entering a supermarket on Viale Innocenzo in Como and stealing various goods from the shelves by hiding them under their clothes, were stopped by the security guard as they were going past the checkout without paying the due amount.
While the first did not put up any resistance, the second, the 36-year-old Moroccan, started shouting and brandishing a bottle of liquor at the attendant, making his way out and heading out into the street.
112 NUE was immediately alerted, and the patrol cars arrived on the scene and managed to stop the man who had been followed by the security guard for a short stretch of road, while the second individual, who had remained at the supermarket, quietly walked away with other unpaid goods.
After collecting the testimonies and outlining the dynamics of the facts, the 36-year-old was taken to the Police Headquarters and identified. The findings revealed that, in addition to being illegal in the area and without a fixed abode, he had a long list of police records for crimes of the same nature, as well as an Order from the Police Chief of Milano to leave the territory within 7 days, received on November 1st.
Having collected the complaint of the injured party and all the elements against the 36-year-old, he was arrested for improper robbery. Informed of the facts and of the arrest made, the PM on duty ordered the detention of the man at the Police Headquarters, setting his trial with the direct procedure for this morning at 11.00:XNUMX.
Following the outcome of the trial, the Immigration Office will evaluate the man's position, while investigations are underway to identify the second individual who was in the company of the 36-year-old, who left the supermarket.
