The State Police, on the afternoon of November 8, has arrested for drug trafficking, a Milanese coupleHe 32 years born in Switzerland, she 38 years born in Treviglio (BG) but both resident in Cassano d'Adda (MI).
During the services aimed at combating the phenomenon of drug dealing, the Como Flying Squad, on specific instructions from the Como Police Chief Marco Calì, organized together with crews of the UPGSP and the 6th section of the Cabinet Office, checkpoints in those areas considered strategic and with the greatest influx of vehicles and people.
In fact, on the afternoon of November 8th, in Tentorio Street in the area adjacent to the Civil Motorization Office, one of the main junctions entering and exiting the city, State Police cars and crews were positioned to set up a checkpoint.
And that's where she was stopped for checks. a large, new Peugeot 3008 with Swiss plates, resulted in rental at a company in Noranco (CH) and with the Milanese couple on board. The officers immediately had the feeling that the two were hiding something, partly because of the irreconcilable details dictated by the car and their origin, but also because of their rather worried which the two had assumed during the police check.
The investigators of the Flying Squad intervened, and an inspection of the vehicle revealed that under the passenger seat, a large package from a well-known online sales company containing what was immediately, but later confirmed, to be cocaine for a total weight of 1,76 kg. of which the two did not provide any justification for possession.
The car and its occupants ended up at the police station where the Milanese couple was accurately identified and arrested for drug trafficking. Notified of the arrest, the prosecutor on duty ordered that they be taken to the Como prison.
Investigations are underway to outline the entire trafficking carried out by the two arrested.
