Belluno, fight against drug use

The work of UPGSP staff continues in combating the use of drugs among minors.

Belluno, fight against drug use.

In the late afternoon of January 24th, among the various checks aimed at urban redevelopment and the fight against drug dealing, a police car from the Police Headquarters proceeded to check a group of young people, all minors, who were bivouacking outside in the City of Bologna park. The interior of the wooden gazebo is present there. Two of the boys approached by the officers appeared particularly difficult to control and nervous; a more in-depth check, given the attitude of the latter, allowed the police to find a precision scale (used to control the weight of the narcotic), a "grinder" to be used for the preparation of joints and a cellophane wrapper containing a piece of hashish.

A similar situation happened in the early afternoon of January 31st when a police car, passing through the square in front of the Belluno train station, proceeded to check a group of boys who, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to escape. During the identification phases, one of the young people dropped a small plastic wrapper on the ground which was promptly noticed and recovered by the officers and turned out to contain a piece of a hashish-type narcotic. Given the subject's specific history of drug use and dealing, after the intervention of a police officer, a search was carried out at the subject's home where another narcotic substance was found.

What was found in the two activities was seized and analyzed at the Scientific Police offices of the Police Headquarters, furthermore the children found in possession of narcotics will be reported to the Prefect of Belluno pursuant to art. 75 of Presidential Decree 309/90 for the possession of narcotic substances for personal use.
