The Crema Public Safety Commissioner as part of the activity to combat the phenomenon of consumption and abuse of alcohol among minors carried out targeted services at some premises located in the city.
In one of these public establishments it was ascertained that various alcoholic substances were administered to four minors, residing in the Crema area, aged between 13 and 17 years.
After consuming several alcoholic cocktails, a thirteen-year-old fell ill and was taken to the emergency room of the local hospital for treatment where she was found to have a intoxication from alcohol abuse.

In consideration of this, it was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cremona for the violation of the art. 689 1st paragraph of the Criminal Code, the owner of the aforementioned establishment for having administered the aforementioned drinks to minors under the age of 16, failing to ascertain the actual age of the consumers.
As regards the administration of the seventeen-year-old, the administrative offense against the owner was contested.

The law, which aims to protect the health of people and specifically of minors, in fact prohibits the sale or administration of alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 16 and provides in case of violationarrest up to 1 year further establishing that if the crime is committed more than once, the law also applies administrative pecuniary sanction from 1.000 to 25.000 euros and suspension of the activity for 3 months.
If the minor is between 16 and 18 years of age, administrative violation is foreseen (art. 14-ter Law 125/2001) with a fine of 250 to 1000 Euros.
Given the serious abuse, the Municipality of Crema was asked to issue a temporary suspension of the license pursuant to art. 10 TULPS.
