Genoa: he enters a bar with a knife and attacks the intervening officers, arrested

The State Police arrested a 34-year-old for violence or threats, resistance and insult to a public official and aggravated personal injury, also reporting him for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending, refusing to provide information on his personal identity and for being illegal on the National Territory.

A UPGSP patrol car was sent near a bar in Cornigliano for a report of a fight. On their first pass, bystanders gave officers a description of a man who had shortly before attacked a woman and then walked away. While the patrol monitored the area to track down the attacker, a woman approached, pointing out the 34-year-old, matching the description, telling officers that the same man had shortly before attempted to enter the premises with a knife.

Upon seeing the officers, the subject immediately acted aggressively, verbally and physically, towards them, hitting them in the abdomen with kicks and elbows.
During the ritual proceedings, the knife that had remained inside the bar was seized.
