Foggia: two sisters meet again after 9 years.

A 30-year-old woman presented herself at the Immigration Office of the Foggia Police Headquarters to submit an application for international protection. 

While dealing with the relevant case, the police officers, with the assistance of the cultural mediator, asked her some questions regarding her personal background and the reasons for the asylum request.

During the interview, the girl reported that her sister, who was one year younger than her, was in Italy, but she did not know any further details.

After careful investigations, the police were able to track her down and found that she was legally resident in the province of Foggia.

The latter, contacted by telephone, did not believe that her sister could be right here, a few steps away from her, since she had lost track of her many years before, believing her to be dead by then.

Despite the skepticism, the Immigration Office staff managed to convince the girl to go to the Police Headquarters to see for herself what was happening.

The unexpected reunion between the two sisters after 9 years and endless vicissitudes was indescribably touching, with tears of joy, cries of disbelief and endless thanks to the State Police for allowing their reunion.

"Dcan i really bring my sister to my house and keep her with me?!” the girl said.

The State Police wishes them both a good life.
