Foggia: increase in thefts in rural areas, extraordinary control services.
La Foggia State Police, following the various reports received from citizens regarding thefts in rural areas, has issued targeted measures extraordinary control services of the territory in the areas considered most sensitive.
On the day of 9 October, the personnel of the Flying Squad found in the countryside of the municipality of Foggia, in an area adjacent to Provincial Road 73, a excavator crane with a value of approximately 200.000 euros, the theft of which was reported last September 26th by its user.
The owner of the vehicle was invited to the site of the discovery and he recognized the crane by numerous distinctive and irrefutable signs given that the chassis number had been altered.
Investigative activities aimed at identifying the alleged perpetrators of money laundering are underway.
The rural areas of the municipalities of the province of Foggia will continue to be constantly monitored by the State Police.
