Foggia, extraordinary territorial control services by the Police Forces
The State Police, in collaboration with the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police of Foggia in order to prevent and combat illegal situations that may spread in contexts connected to the "movida" of the city centre, also taking into account the numerous requests coming from users within the framework of a fruitful and constant dialogue established with local institutions, has set up a targeted extraordinary control service in the areas with a particular vocation for aggregation present in this territory.
The operational activity was therefore concentrated in the areas of the “Quartiere Ferrovia”, in the quadrilateral of Piazza Mercato, Piazza Pericle Felici, Piazza U. Giordano, Piazza XX Settembre, Parco San Felice, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Italia, Corso Cairoli and allowed the identification of approximately 180 people and the control of over 50 vehicles following which, 10 drivers were given administrative fines for violations of the Highway Code.
Two individuals were fined for abusing the role of parking attendant and another individual was also issued with a removal order which will be the subject of evaluation for the purposes of adopting measures entrusted to the authority of the police commission.
Furthermore, an administrative fine was issued to a man in an evident state of psychophysical alteration due to the intake of alcoholic substances causing a disturbance in the streets adjacent to the city centre.
Finally, The Administrative Police staff carried out numerous checks inside commercial establishments in order to prevent and constantly monitor the risk that some premises could become a meeting place for individuals burdened by police records.
The territorial control services carried out by the Police Forces will continue without interruption.
