Marche flood, little Mattia's body found

In a field near the Nevola river

Marche flood, little Mattia's body found.

The hopes of the Luconi family have collapsed: iThe body of little Mattia was found in a field in Trecastelli (AN), near the Nevola river. The owner of the land raised the alarm. The remains are in an advanced state of decomposition. So much so that for identification, it seems, an autopsy and DNA examination will be necessary, which the Prosecutor's Office has already ordered.

The body was found about 13 km away from Farneto, the town of Castelleone di Susa from which Mattia had disappeared without trace on the evening of 15 September. The flood had forced him to get out of the window and the violence of the water had forced him to be separated forever from her mother, who was thrown away from her son and then found cold and injured a couple of kilometers away.

A cruel fate, befallen a child of just 8 years old. At the time of the discovery Mattia was wearing a yellow and green t-shirt. Whoever identified him, from the Trecastelli camp from which the report originated, provided this detail to the Carabinieri.

The body was taken from a funeral home van and an autopsy could be carried out tomorrow. Police investigations continue at the site of the discovery.
