Emilia Romagna: the Region welcomes 17 wounded children and their families from Gaza. Three of them will be treated in Bologna, the others transported to other hospitals.

Two of the young patients will be treated at the Maggiore Hospital and one at the Sant'Orsola Polyclinic. The others will be transported by ambulance to receive treatment and assistance in other regions.

The two planes, a C130 of the Italian Air Force and an ATR42 of the Guardia di Finanza, which took off from Cairo, Egypt, will land today, late in the afternoon, at the “Guglielmo Marconi” airport in Bologna. on board 17 injured people and their families (about fifty people), coming from Gaza: young Palestinian patients, victims of the ongoing conflict. Three of them will be hospitalized in Bologna, all the others will be transported by ambulance to hospitals in other regions.

At the Maggiore Hospital they will take care of an eleven-year-old with an ENT problem and a 10-year-old child with a maxillofacial problem, both caused by bombing. A thirteen-year-old with a previous heart surgery problem will be welcomed and treated at the Sant'Orsola Polyclinic.

The operation, promoted by the Government as part of the European Civil Protection activity, is coordinated by Prefecture of Bologna in collaboration with the regional department for health policies and civil protection of Emilia-Romagna.
