Desio enters a restaurant and threatens the owner with a knife: 30-year-old arrested by the police.

In the late evening of May 22nd, the Carabinieri of Desio have arrested, in the flagrant crime of resisting a public official, a 30-year-old of Moroccan nationality, already known to the police, who is illegal on the national territory and already subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police due to another criminal proceeding. At the same time, the man was also referred for the crimes of illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of offending and false attestation or declaration to a public official regarding his identity.
The arrest occurred during an intervention carried out by patrols of the Radiomobile Section and the local station, alerted by the Operations Centre, after some citizens had reported, in via Lampugnani, the presence of a group of non-EU citizens, one of whom was armed with a knife. Once on site, the workers collected the first information from the witnesses who had witnessed the incident and, in particular, from the owner of a restaurant business, who reported that, shortly before, the man armed with a knife had entered his premises and threatened him.
The military, since the people reported had moved away from the place, immediately started searches, which made it possible to track down shortly afterwards, in an adjacent street, hidden among the bushes, the man indicated as the owner of the bladed weapon; the latter, in the sight of the soldiers, in a clear state of psychophysical alteration, he pulled out a hunting knife measuring approximately 30 cm, brandishing it threateningly at the operatives once they approached. The prompt reaction of the Carabinieri who intervened made it possible, through the use of the taser supplied, to neutralize the attack of the North African without causing or sustaining injuries.
At the end of the identification operations, the man, at the disposal of the judicial authority, was held in the security rooms until the validation hearing, during which the Judge also ordered the application of custody against him
precautionary in prison.
