Crotone, drugs, money and bullets hidden in the boiler: 30-year-old arrested.

Yesterday morning, the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Company Crotone, together with those of the Scandale Station (KR) and the canine unit of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of the capital, during a specific service, carried out as part of the activities to combat the phenomenon of the spread of narcotic substances in the entire province, ordered by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Crotone, checked his home, located in the hamlet "Gabella” from Crotone, a 30 year old, unemployed.

The kidnapping

In particular, the Carabinieri carried out a thorough search at his home, finding, cleverly hidden inside the "boiler room", several cellophane wrappers containing just over 570 grams of "marijuana", approximately 130 grams of "hashish", a professional scale equipped with its weighing plate still dirty with residues of "marijuana”, 2 precision electronic scales, some material suitable for packaging the aforementioned substances.

Furthermore, 75 cartridges for pistols and rifles of various calibers were found, as well as the sum of just over 3.800 euros divided into banknotes of various denominations, believed to be proceeds from the activity of dealing in the aforementioned psychotropic substances, also and not only due to the unusual place of discovery.

During the activity, an agenda was also found with handwritten notes showing the amounts of money alongside the names of likely buyers, into whom further investigations will be carried out.

The arrest

Immediately taken to the barracks for the continuation of the ritual investigations, the young man, having evaluated the investigative findings acquired, was arrested for "possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances"and "illegal possession of ammunition", conducted at his home under the regime of "Home Detention” and made available to the Judicial Authority, pending the validation hearing.

The money, ammunition and drugs, on which the appropriate product checks will be carried out to establish the quantity of "active principle”, were criminally seized.
