In the late afternoon of August 12th i Carabinieri of the Romanengo station they tracked down and arrested, pursuant to a precautionary measure of house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet, issued by the GIP of the Court of Cremona, a 28-year-old foreign citizen with several criminal convictions.

The story began in the early days of last July in Crema, Casaletto Vaprio and Offanengo, when the man carries out extortion against two local young men and subsequently a robbery against a person who was inside a public establishment. In particular, the robber approached two young people who were inside the Crema railway station, waiting for the train to Casaletto Vaprio, with the excuse of asking for coins, according to him for the purchase of food, which the boys delivered.

Once on the train, the latter once again noticed the same subject taking a seat in the same carriage as them; when the convoy arrived at Casaletto Vaprio station and after getting off the man he followed the victims, blocked them, prevented them from continuing their journey, threatened to hit them with his fist, alluding to having a hidden weapon in his pockets and at the same time brandished a sheet made from a can claiming to wanting to cut his throat, then taking possession of the sum of €uro 120 in cash from the two young people, to hastily leave and lose track.

The victims called and filed a complaint with the Carabinieri who began investigations through the acquisition of images from the video surveillance system of the Crema railway station and the context cameras present in the area, managing to locate and identify the perpetrator already known from other police precedents. The investigations continued by associating the perpetrator of the crime described with a robbery of a wallet which had occurred a few days earlier to the detriment of a boy who was inside a bar in Offanengo, by the same person who had been filmed by some cameras present. near the scene of the crime.

In the circumstance the victim was approached with a specious excuse and violently grabbed him from behind and removed his wallet from his trousers pocket and then quickly fled outside the premises, abandoning the wallet on the street without the cash sum of €uro 250. The investigation was enriched by witness statements and photographic acknowledgments by the victims.

Following the serious criminal acts contested, the GIP of the Court of Cremona issued the precautionary measure of house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet against the perpetrator who was tracked down in his home in Offanengo and arrested.
