Violence, cocaine and heroin a Milano, Brescia and Bergamo: 20 people arrested in Northern Italy.

The State Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Brescia - DDA, has carried out a precautionary custody order against 20 people (15 in prison and 5 under house arrest), of Albanian and Italian nationality, seriously suspected to be in various capacities participating, or in any case connected, to acriminal association aimed at trafficking and dealing in narcotic substances, aggravated by the mafia method and the use of weapons.

The operation conducted by the policemen of the Anti-drug Section of the Milanese Mobile Squad began in September 2019 when, following a possible drug supply channel in the Pioltello (MI) shop, the policemen traced back to a series of people, of origins Albanians, residing in some municipalities in the lower Bergamo area.

The investigative activity, currently in the preliminary investigation phase, focused on a criminal organization, of Albanian and Italian origin, active between the Brescia area, the lower Bergamo area and some areas of the Milanese hinterland which, to establish itself in some squares of drug dealing, has also carried out sensational acts of violence, sometimes with the use of weapons.

It is believed that the criminal organization was able to supply mainly heroin and cocaine to other criminal groups active in central and northern Italy.

During the investigation, the State Police carried out 15 red-handed arrests and seized 1,4 kg of cocaine, about 14 kg of heroin, 100 kg cutting substance, about 17.500 euros in cash and two semi-automatic pistols.

Numerous searches were also carried out, during which approximately 74 thousand euros were seized in cash and a person was arrested for detention of 700 g. of cocaine. The activity was carried out with the help of the agents of the Mobile Squads of the Bergamo, Brescia, Bolzano, Novara, Rimini, Varese Police Headquarters and the Lombardy Crime Prevention Department.
