Cepagatti (Pescara), woman stabbed while returning home after walking her dogs. 31-year-old local arrested

A woman was attacked in Cepagatti while returning home after walking her dogs. Late morning on November 20, like every day, the owner, a 58-year-old woman of Brazilian origin, goes for a walk with her four-legged friends.
This time, however, the return home after the outing turns into terror: a boy, for no apparent reason, runs up to her while she is looking for the keys to open the entrance gate of her home, pushes her and hits her with a sharp object on the shoulder and neck before immediately fleeing.

The unfortunate woman falls to the ground, the dogs bark and a passerby who had seen everything provides first aid and calls 112. A patrol from the Cepagatti Carabinieri Station and the 118 paramedics intervened on the scene and, after first aid, transported the victim to the Emergency Room of the Pescara Hospital where she was admitted with a reserved prognosis but not in danger of life.

The Carabinieri on site take note of the author's identikit, acquire the video surveillance images of two houses adjacent to where the events occurred and begin searching for the subject. The promptness of the investigative action implemented quickly led to the identification of the person responsible for the attack.

The suspect is a 31-year-old nurse living in the same city, with a criminal record for crimes against the person, who was arrested in his home where investigators also carried out a house search during which they found and seized the clothing worn by the man at the time of the attack and a sharp object, presumably used to inflict the wounds on the victim.

At the end of the operations, the man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and, by order of the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Pescara, taken to the Pescara District Prison pending his appearance in the next few hours before the Judge of the Pescara Court for the validation hearing.

Investigations are still ongoing to clarify the dynamics that led to the attack, shedding light on an episode that has shocked the peaceful community of Cepagatti.
