The Carabinieri of the Belvedere Station, assisted by soldiers from the Helicopter Squadron Cacciatori di Sicilia, arrested an 29 year old for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
After the house search, the military found 9 Indian hemp plants it's about 40 seeds, a bottle of fertilizer, a few grams of marijuana and hashish, as well as material for packaging and weighing the narcotic.

Furthermore, with the help of personnel from the CITES and NIPAAF Forestry Carabinieri Units of Catania, 27 turtles of protected species were seized which the 29-year-old held without the required documentation.
The man was arrested for possession of the narcotic and reported to the judicial authority for theft of electricity, receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of protected species animals.
