The investigators, having acquired the news, organized a "discreet mode" stakeout service near that street number, finding, at certain times of the day, the actual coming and going of only men. The man then specified that he had met a woman at home, who had told him that the “sexual services” would be provided by a fellow countrywoman, while she would only take care of collecting the agreed money. However, the “customer” had left without using those services, because he was discouraged by the poor hygienic conditions of the apartment.

At that point, the Carabinieri, in civilian clothes, entered the house, welcomed by the smiling landlady who, mistaking them for customers, insistently offered them the "house menu". Immediately after identifying themselves, the soldiers proceeded to check the premises, finding another woman, 60 years old, inside a "red light" room, and on the bed, various objects of the "trade" and numerous business cards.

The 58-year-old, who ran the “business”, however, had 130,00 euros in her pocket, probably collected from previous customers.
