Catania: 59-year-old with a ban on approaching the victim, caught and arrested by the Carabinieri.

The Provincial Carabinieri Command of Catania continues to maintain high attention and commitment in the fight against gender violence, with particular care towards all those groups considered weaker and towards all those victims of abuse that often matured within the family context.

And it is precisely in this context that the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Nucleus arrested a 59-year-old man from Catania red-handed for violating the ban on approaching places frequented by the victim.
In particular, since last June the man has been the recipient of a provision from the Judicial Authority with which he was prohibited from approaching the woman within 500 meters.

The episode, specifically, occurred one morning in the Canalicchio neighborhood, where the patrol of the Nucleo Radiomobile, well trained in managing events falling under the "red code" and particularly attentive to this type of crime, which was in that area because it was already engaged in a patrol service, quickly intervened, "catching" the man right near the home of his ex-partner, a 41-year-old from Catania.
The 59-year-old, stopped and secured, clearly worried about his fate, was unable to provide a valid explanation for his violation of the no-approach order.

The investigators, therefore, arrested him and placed him at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, who ordered him to report daily to the Judicial Police and to reside in the municipality of Catania.
