Castellammare del Golfo: with the chainsaw against ecological operator, 24-year-old convicted felon arrested.

The Carabinieri of the Castellammare del Golfo station have arrested a 24-year-old local criminal in flagrante delicto for the crime of attempted murder.

The man, at the height of an argument with an ecological operator over the waste collection methods, would have grabbed a chainsaw and, after having started it, would have tried several times to hit the victim who, thanks to a work tool, had had the readiness to dodge the blows.

The neighbors, frightened by the screams, alerted the Carabinieri who quickly arrived on site, preventing the event from reaching much more serious consequences which, fortunately, did not materialize. None of those involved were injured.

From the analysis of the work tool it was possible to detect the cuts and grooves that the chainsaw would have caused. Arrested, following the validation hearing, he was subjected to the measure of precautionary custody in prison.
