Canicattì, gold and 3 thousand euros in cash seized from a cocaine dealer

Canicattì (Agrigento), the prevention and repression activity of the phenomenon of drug dealing by the personnel of the State Police - PS Commissariat of Canicattì continues unabated, also carrying out house searches at the homes of individuals suspected of committing such illicit activities.

During this operation, 29-year-old BBH was arrested, with various police records, having been responsible for possession for the purposes of dealing of approximately 10 grams of narcotic substance of the "Cocaine" type and illegal possession of a double-edged knife with a total length of 43 cm with a pointed blade.

In his home, the agents also seized material used for the packaging of drugs, a precision scale and the total sum of €3000 in contacts and some gold objects, certainly proceeds from the drug dealing activity.

After the formalities, the arrested person was taken to his home, to remain there under house arrest, at the disposal of the PM on duty of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Agrigento, who requested and obtained validation of the arrest from the GIP of the Court of Agrigento.

BB, who was already subjected to house arrest in his home, having been sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment for another crime, was also reported for having violated the provisions of this measure which require him to behave in accordance with the law.

Following this report, the competent AG ordered the suspension of his home detention, ordering his transfer to a penal institution. Therefore the police station staff arrested him and accompanied him to the Agrigento prison.
