Canicattì, there is an in-person exam but there is a lack of compliance with anti-COVID measures: the person responsible is sanctioned
Canicattì, on 22 April 2021, in Canicattì, the State Police intervened at a well-known training institution, as a crowding of people had been reported.
The operating agents engaged in the "COVD-19" anti-gathering patrol service, following a report from the local Operations Room, ascertained that near a structure used as a "Training Centre" there was the presence of dozens of people standing, both outside both inside the institution's courtyard and on the adjacent pavement, waiting to take exams to obtain professional qualifications, such as that of OSA, web resource operator and more.
The operating agents also noted that there was no person in charge of security in front of the entrance and therefore adequate filtering of the students in the structure was not carried out nor were the most basic contagion prevention measures implemented (measurement of body temperature and sanitisation of hands). The men from the police station, given the large number of people present and the continuous coming and going of people, recognized a gathering.
Although formally authorized by the Education and Training Department to carry out exams in person, the institution had not adequately managed to organize a correct planning of the examinees (arranged in stages) in order to avoid crowding.
The legal manager of the aforementioned body, therefore, was penalized, pursuant to art. 1 of Legislative Decree no. 35/2020, as it organized in-person exams without respecting the protocols required by current legislation.
