Campobasso, PNRR: the project managed and implemented by the ATS of Campobasso designed for the autonomy of non-self-sufficient elderly people obtains funding of €2.460.000,00.
The regional project, managed and implemented by the ATS of Campobasso (leader) in collaboration with the other ATS of the Molise Region, presented in the context of the PNRRR calls, Mission 5 "Inclusion and cohesion", Investment 1.1.2- "Independence of non-self-sufficient elderly people", was admitted to financing for an amount of €2.460.000,00.
The project, as envisaged in the mission of Notice 1/2022 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, aims to increase the autonomy of elderly people, preventing institutionalization, promoting multidimensional and integrated care and strengthening services territorial issues linked to domiciliary care.
“The definition of this project and the related financing obtained is part of the work that, in a programmatic manner, we are carrying out to achieve a progressive increase in the services to be offered to the elderly present in our territory, both as an area and, consequently, as Municipality of Campobasso. – declared the councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Campobasso, Luca Praitano – A region like ours which has a strong prevalence of elderly population, must increasingly structure itself, through cutting-edge methodologies and tools, to offer, to this large segment of the population, expressly dedicated services.”
The beneficiaries of the project, n. 100 non-self-sufficient elderly people residing in the regional territory will be identified through a public notice issued by the ATS of Campobasso in collaboration with the other ATS of the Molise Region. For each ATS, a number of elderly recipients divided according to the resident population is guaranteed:
– N. 26 ATS seniors from Campobasso;
– N. 23 elderly ATS Termoli;
– N. 9 ATS Larino seniors;
– N. 14 seniors ATS Riccia-Bojano
– N. 15 ATS Isernia elderly people;
– N. 4 elderly ATS Agnone;
– N. 9 ATS Venafro seniors
The services and interventions aim to maintain all residual abilities of the person, with the aim of guaranteeing the protection of the levels of autonomy, independence and quality of life through the consolidation and implementation of the interventions provided at the elderly person's home.
The services that can be activated are:
-Professional home services, also with the implementation of social welfare services, through social and health workers;
-other professional home care services/respite services such as support for the elderly and the family through the involvement of psychologists or other professionals;
-assisted transfer (accompaniment, transport or transfer of the elderly for specific and particular needs);
- home automation supports and technological instrumentation: supply and home installation of home automation equipment or technological tools for mobility and autonomy, for the management of the home environment and communications, such as to reduce the degree of non-self-sufficiency. Following the joint multidimensional assessment between the Multidisciplinary Team and the qualified technician (provided for each beneficiary based on the needs and critical issues encountered), it is possible to guarantee tele-aid equipment, life-sustaining radio sensors, anti-fall sensors, methane gas detection; remote control service, and an operations center that contacts the elderly person periodically or the elderly person contacts the center by pressing a button;
-integrated care for all non-self-sufficient people.
Each intervention is promoted by aiming at the active aging of the elderly, without neglecting the psychic dimension of the beneficiary and the family unit, stimulating the resources possessed by each person to continue self-determination. Listening and psychological support interventions will also play an important role in order to reduce the risk of aging pathologies, such as dementia.
