Brescia, person hit by train: inconveniences on the route Milano-Venice.

The lifeless body of a person was found this morning around 11.20am, in via Cerca 16 in Brescia, along the railway line. A train accident occurred on the route Verona-Brescia concerning a Frecciarossa train. The Areu rescuers arrived on site with an ambulance and a medical vehicle but there was nothing that could be done, moreover it was not possible to trace the identity of the victim due to the conditions in which the body was found, we only know that it should be a middle-aged man. Firefighters, carabinieri and police officers also intervened on site to carry out investigations and reconstruct what happened. Rail circulation on the affected section was temporarily suspended with consequent inconvenience for commuters also on the route Milano-Venice.

According to the first information leaked, it would have been an extreme gesture: the victim would have waited for the convoy to pass and then threw himself onto the tracks. The train driver suddenly found himself in front of him and was unable to do anything to avoid the tragedy.
