Bovalino, 3 Indian hemp plantations discovered by the police: 26-year-old and 31-year-old local arrested

Bovalino, yesterday the Carabinieri of the station, supported by the soldiers of the Heliported Hunters Squadron of Calabria, as part of services aimed at the prevention and repression of crimes in general, with particular attention to those relating to drugs, arrested a 26-year-old and a 31-year-old, both from Bovalino for illicit production of narcotic substances.

 A targeted operational strategy implemented, with various patrolling and round-up services in the area, inspections of abandoned farmhouses, wells and natural ravines, in search of narcotic substances, with particular attention to the Aspromontane areas, which has made it possible to discover since the beginning of the year several Indica hemp plantations.

Specifically, the men of the Army, during a roundup in the locality "Well" e “Maso Lombardo”, in the wooded area, they found three plantations made up of approximately 1500 plants of both Indian hemp and the dwarf variant, whose irrigation was allowed by a complex "drip" system. 

The arrested people, following the formalities, were accompanied to their homes, under house arrest, awaiting the validation hearing.
