And it was precisely after an attempted snatch theft that took place in the municipality of Borgo a Mozzano that a Romanian couple (both 25 years old) were reported by the Carabinieri of the Bagni di Lucca Station after they allegedly carried out an attempted theft by snatching a gold necklace from the neck of an 85-year-old disabled man living in Media Valle.

The two reported are both residents elsewhere and without any confirmed contact in this area of ​​Lucca. The alarm had been raised by the victim after mid-morning, in Piano della Rocca of Borgo a Mozzano, he had been approached by the only woman who, having approached with the excuse of asking the time, suddenly grabbed the necklace trying to tear it off, but was unsuccessful in her attempt only thanks to the minimal resistance that the man had managed to put up and the size of the necklace, made of thick and sturdy mesh, did it not break despite the tension of the tear.
