Bolzano, bloody punitive expedition. The State Police arrests 3 criminals

Last September 30th, all the patrols of the “Flying” Squad of the State Police were made to converge on the Prati della Passeggiata Lungo Talvera, Theiner side, following the report of a fight in progress between about fifteen people, some of whom were armed with knives, clubs, baseball bats and machetes.
Upon arrival at the scene, a few minutes after the call, the Agents found four injured individuals on the ground and several passers-by who were trying to help them, given the copious blood loss from various parts of the body that the four presented.

Ambulances and 118 medical personnel were immediately called to the scene to assist the four injured – later identified as such a 25 year old Afghan citizen (who was given a 30 day prognosis for a severed tendon in one hand), another 28 year old Afghan citizen (who had an initial 30 day prognosis for a fractured elbow), a third Afghan citizen aged 29 (admitted to intensive care with a reserved prognosis for a skull fracture, and immediately after the events considered to be in danger of life) and a fourth Afghan citizen aged 40 (in a reserved prognosis due to a fracture of the skull base and a fracture of the trachea, also, at an initial medical examination by the doctors who intervened, considered to be in danger of life) – suffered very serious injuries, while two other co-involved parties sought medical treatment the following day at the Merano Hospital.

The investigators of the Flying Squad of the State Police, who were also called to the scene immediately, following complex investigations that began immediately with the help of the Flying Squad Agents and the Scientific Police, managed to obtain detailed information on what happened that evening and to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident: a pre-planned attack, that is, by a group of immigrants against another, due to old grudges, organized by two brothers of Iranian origin supported by other individuals, including AAH, a 24-year-old Afghan citizen, and AA, a 31-year-old Albanian citizen, both with multiple criminal convictions for crimes of various nature and gravity. From the testimonies gathered, in fact, it emerged that already a few days before the violent attack, the wounded had been threatened by their Iranian brothers, who had announced that they would "make them pay" for a previous insult.

In fact, it was these people who allegedly started the clash by sending, during the same afternoon, explicit death threats to the telephone numbers of two of the injured and then reaching them on the Talvera Promenades, around 19,45:33 pm, with a group of about ten accomplices armed with baseball bats, knives, bars and machetes and attacking them together with the other individuals who were with them; in this circumstance, the elder of the two brothers - later identified as KSE, an Italian citizen of Iranian origin aged XNUMX, also burdened by criminal and/or police records - allegedly hit with a machete first one of the attacked individuals and, subsequently, a second individual, seriously injuring them in various parts of the body, so much so as to reduce the latter to the brink of death. For this reason, since the first phase of the investigations, house and personal searches had been carried out on them, which had allowed the discovery and seizure of some blood-stained clothes and some of the weapons used in the ambush, also stained with blood.

Bolzano, cruenta spedizione punitiva. La Polizia di Stato arresta 3 pregiudicati

Following the findings of the investigative activities found by the Flying Squad, the Public Prosecutor's Office has requested and obtained from the GIP of the Court of Bolzano the issuing of 3 Prison Detention Orders, respectively, against the two Italian-Iranian brothers (KSE, aged 33, and KSA, aged 24), indicated by the victims as the de facto managers/owners of the bar “Luna's Café”, and of the 24-year-old Afghan citizen HAA, known as “Tofan”.

Over the past weekend, the Mobile Squad Agents have identified in the City - in a house on Via Guncina, where one of the brothers lives, and in one on Viale Europa, where the other lives - and arrested all three wanted persons, for the crimes of illegal possession of weapons and very serious voluntary bodily harm, aggravated by having acted with weapons and by more than one person, in collusion with each other, causing permanent damage to the victims.
All 3 arrested, at the end of the Judicial Police actions, were associated with the Bolzano District Prison at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor.

With regard to a fourth accomplice – the Albanian citizen AA – the Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori had urgently issued an Expulsion Decree, with a simultaneous order for immediate transfer to the country of origin; he was therefore immediately transferred by the Agents of the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters to the “Guglielmo Marconi” Airport in Bologna, where he was boarded on a plane and escorted to Tirana.
The Police Chief issued the same measure against the Afghan citizen AAH, which will become effective once the account with Justice has been settled.

The Police Chief has ordered the initiation of the procedure for the application of the Personal Prevention Measure, provided for by the Anti-Mafia Law Code, of the Special Public Security Surveillance, against all the other organizers of the violent attack.

"This was a very serious criminal episode, characterised by particular, unmotivated violence, which only by chance, up to this point, has not had much more tragic consequences. – highlighted Commissioner Sartori –. Episodes like this cannot be tolerated. Hence the drastic measures adopted, both on the judicial and administrative level, aimed at ensuring those responsible are brought to justice and to interrupt a criminal escalation of violence and retaliation such as to create many critical issues in terms of public order and citizen safety.".
