Belluno, a normal check allows the Police to discover an exchange of driving licence: fine of 5.100 euros, document seized
Belluno, as part of the surveillance activity of the roads of the Province, a patrol of the Feltre Traffic Police Detachment, during a checkpoint along the SR.348 in the Fener area of the Municipality of Alano di Piave, ordered to stop a car, which however was slow to stop moving, stopping approximately 50 meters ahead of the point where it had been ordered to stop.
The officers, suspicious of the lack of attention shown by those who were driving, proceeded to check, identifying the people on board: the driver, a 29-year-old Chinese citizen with a criminal record, his wife and two minor children, one of whom was transported without the expected child restraint system.
However, during the reporting of the infringement, the officers noticed that the driver showed the typical symptoms of impairment related to alcohol abuse; therefore the driver was subjected to a breath test as per the ritual, which gave a positive result with an established value of 1,15 g/l.
The man was then reported to the Judicial Authority for the crime of driving while intoxicated, which in this case involves imprisonment of up to six months and a fine of up to 3.200 euros, as well as the suspension of the driving license up to one year.
Once the license was collected, the officers noticed that it showed various discrepancies compared to the known originals. After a more detailed check, it emerged that the license was registered in the name of another person.
Therefore the man, already with specific precedents of this type, was sanctioned again for driving without a license with an administrative fine of 5.100 euros, while the license was seized and the man reported to the AG, as well as for the driving while intoxicated, even for false documents.
With a view to anticipating and promptly stopping very risky conduct for the safety of motorway traffic, the surveillance activity of the Section's patrols will continue unabated, in order to prevent potentially risky phenomena for the life and health of passengers of vehicles circulating. on the main road arteries of the Province.
