Bari: the Interregional Commander “Ogaden”, General of the Army Corps Marco Minicucci visited the Carabinieri Legion Command “Puglia”.

A few days after taking over the Inter-regional Carabinieri Command “Ogaden”, Army Corps General Marco Minicucci visited the headquarters of the Carabinieri Legion Command “Puglia”, where he was received by the Commander, Brigadier General Ubaldo Del Monaco.

Il General Minicucci has assumed the prestigious Command of the Interregional “Ogaden”, at the top of the Territorial Organization of the Carabinieri of Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Abruzzo and Molise.

During the visit he met the staff of the Legion's General Staff, all the Provincial Commanders, a representation of the Carabinieri from the Territorial and Special Organizations, as well as the staff on leave from the National Carabinieri Association and the National Forestry Association.

He addressed them heartfelt words of thanks and expressed appreciation for the results achieved and for the daily activity carried out in favor of the citizens.

It is precisely on the centrality of the citizen that General Minicucci has focused several times, recalling the concepts of “proximity to the community” e “social reassurance”, as distinctive features of the force which translate into the closeness and ability to listen that the Carabinieri know how to apply in their daily actions.
On the sidelines of the greeting, the General delivered a solemn commendation to a Lieutenant who, in September 2022, had blocked a man who barricaded himself in a house with the intention of exploding a gas cylinder, as well as delivered 2 simple commendations to two Officers who , in October 2022, they had disarmed a convicted felon who had approached their Carabinieri Station, with the intention of exploding a cylinder as an act of retaliation for a previous measure taken against him.

Before leaving the capital of Puglia, he also met with the Authorities of the Capital, including the Archbishop of Bari and Bitonto, HE Giuseppe Satriano, the President of the Puglia Region, Dr. Michele Emiliano, the President of the Court of Appeal of Bari, Dr. Francesco Cassano, the President of the Court of Bari, Dr. Alfonso Pappalardo, and the Public Prosecutor of Bari, Dr. Roberto Rossi.

Among the numerous tasks carried out over the course of 40 years of dedication to the service of the Carabinieri and of the Country, General Minicucci has held, among others, the positions of Commander of the Territorial Department of Frascati, Provincial Commander of Naples and Commander of the Lazio Legion. Within the General Command, he has also held the position of Head of the Operations Office, Head of Department VI, Head of Department IV and Logistics Inspector, Deputy Chief of Staff and Privacy Manager.
