Bari, operations against online child pornography: 13 search warrants issued and two arrests
An operation carried out by the Bari Public Prosecutor's Office throughout Italy led to the arrest of two people, a 27-year-old from Frosinone and a 46-year-old from Sassari, and to the execution of thirteen searches in various Italian regions, in a coordinated action to combat the trafficking of online child pornography.

In recent days the State Police, in conclusion of a detailed investigation in the context of combating the sexual exploitation of minors online, performed 13 search warrants issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office Bari at the expense of as many under investigation in the BAT provinces(Barletta-Andria-Trani), Caserta, Como, Cuneo, Frosinone, Palermo, Reggio Emilia, Rome, Sassari, Viterbo.
The operation made it possible to arrest in flagrante delicto for possession of a large quantity of child pornography un twenty-seven years old in the province of Frosinone and a forty-six years old in the province of Sassari.
The activity, led by Cyber Security Operations Center - Postal and Communications Police “Puglia” with the coordination of National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography (CNCPO) of the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service, results from analyzes of transactions carried out for the purchase of child pornography material on closed groups of a well-known messaging platform, where child pornography material was offered for sale and purchased.
During the searches, numerous were seized computing devices containing tens of thousands of files with child pornography content, which will be the subject of subsequent forensic analysis.
It is reported that the proceeding is in the preliminary investigation phase and, after the execution of the pre-precautionary measure, the guarantee interrogation and the discussion with the suspect's defense will follow, whose possible guilt, in relation to the crimes contested, must be ascertained during the trial, in the cross-examination between the parties.
