Bad weather in Lombardy: a Milano extraordinary closure of fenced parks until August 31st.

After the violent storm that hit the city of Milano of night between 24 and 25 July, and given the possibility of new weather warnings, the City of Milano – for safety reasons, to prevent potential dangers and preserve the safety of people – he issued a union ordinance, in force from 29 July until 31 August 2023, which establishes the closure of fenced parks to the public. Access to all other green areas remains permitted but it is forbidden to park near or under trees and plants that show obvious signs of damage.

In the event of a weather warning for thunderstorms, rain, wind or hail, the ban on attendance also extends to non-closed green areas. As regards commercial activities located near green areas, such as bars and restaurants with terraces and dehors, the ordinance requires promptly report any visually identifiable dangers to the Civil Protection and - in the case of damaged trees, plants, branches - not to use the stands in these areas. The areas in which the markets take place are, however, excluded from the ordinance because they are already subject to specific verification by the Administration. Local police officers are on duty to inform citizens and enforce the ordinance.

Maltempo in Lombardia: a Milano chiusura straordinaria dei parchi recintati fino al 31 agosto.
