Ragusa: he attacks a fast food employee to get money, house arrest for a 29-year-old from Scicli.

In the day of Tuesday July 25, the military of Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Modica (RG), together with their colleagues from the Scicli Police Department, have implemented an order for the application of a precautionary measure, issued by the Judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Ragusa, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a young man from Scicli held responsible for attempted robbery and aggravated bodily harm. The 29-year-old criminal, already known to the Police Force, last May 21st, in the middle of the night, after having entered inside a well-known fast food restaurant of Scicli and having asked - under threat - the employee to give him the sum of 50 euros, having received a simultaneous refusal, he attacked him two punches to the face throwing him to the ground. Not happy, he attacked a patron of the club who was being helped of the worker, punching him in the forehead and pushing him violently.

The criminal, not succeeding in his intent due to the opposite reaction, fled and lost track of himself. The attack caused the employee suffered injuries judged to be healable in 5 days; those of the customer are much more serious, judge healable in 30 days. The timely intervention of the Modica Carabinieri and the consequent investigations made it possible to reconstruct the dynamics of the events also through the acquisition of videos extracted from video surveillance systems. All the elements acquired and submitted to the Judicial Authority allowed the investigators to close the circle and identify the criminal who was brought to justice in just two months. The arrested person, subjected to house arrest, will therefore have to answer for attempted robbery and aggravated personal injury for having caused abrasions, traumas and fractures to the victims. The investigative result once again demonstrates the attention paid to the community and in particular on the occasion of such heinous crimes which generate alarm and apprehension among citizens.
