Como, contrast to drug dealing in wooded areas. Two arrests by the State Police
In the afternoon, the State Police arrested two Moroccans for drug dealing, the first one aged 24, with a valid residence permit but without a fixed abode, and the other one aged 28, with an irregular stay in the territory, without a fixed abode and with a police record for drug dealing.
The Como Flying Squad, on constant input from the Como Police Chief Marco Calì, in line with the indications that emerged during the Technical Coordination Meetings held in the prefecture, has organized a service aimed at combating drug trafficking in wooded areas, focusing attention on the areas that concern the Olgiate area, including the municipalities of Villa Guardia (CO), Montano Lucino (CO) and Colverde (CO).
The Mobile men, in the early afternoon, after a quick search of all the accesses to the woods, in the Montano Lucino area noticed a coming and going of individuals later identified as buyers of the drugs.
Once they had documented the illegal activity and the operational base of the drug dealing, managed by the two Moroccans who had set up a bivouac with a weighing and packaging area, they intervened by penetrating the woods, surprising the two intent on preparing the doses. It did not take the brief escape of one of them to be secured in the car and recover all the material that was in their possession.
In fact, the police were able to find and seize 50 grams of hashish, 80 grams of heroin, 70 grams of cocaine, all drugs contained in food bags, as well as a precision scale and cash worth almost a thousand euros, believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking.
Taken to the Police Headquarters and identified, they were arrested for drug dealing in flagrante delicto. Notified of the arrest, the PM on duty ordered their accompaniment to the Como District Prison.
The arrests of the Flying Squad are the epilogue of the extraordinary services of the territory, organized by the Como Police Headquarters in the last few days, in fact last Tuesday the patrols of the Police Headquarters also composed of personnel of the Administrative Team of the PAS and patrols of the Lombardy Crime Prevention Department of Milano, They carried out checks in public places in the areas concerned and checkpoints on the main roads leading to the urban centres where the anti-drug services of the Flying Squad then concentrated and led to the identification of 210 people and 100 cars checked.
