Anzio-Nettuno: the State Police arrested a 53-year-old Italian citizen as he was seriously suspected of committing the crime of family abuse.
It was the agents of the State Police of the Anzio-Nettuno police station who arrested a 53-year-old Italian citizen seriously suspected of the crime of domestic abuse. The man had become a nightmare for his ex-partner, who had been a victim of her violence for some time. In fact, the 51-year-old Italian had been attacked and beaten several times by the man, and despite having visited the hospital several times to be treated, she had never reported the violence she had suffered for fear of retaliation.
Last January 14, officers from the local police station intervened in a bar near the Lavinio train station, where the woman had been attacked and beaten. As soon as the police arrived on site they came across a man who was throwing large stones at an ambulance where the woman was inside, visibly scared with wounds in various parts of her body.
At this point the man was immediately blocked and arrested.
Subsequently, the Judicial Authority validated the actions of the policemen and the man was placed in precautionary custody in prison.
Furthermore, on the afternoon of last January 17, in the municipality of Nettuno, the agents of the Anzio - Nettuno police station arrested a 50-year-old man from Nettuno, in execution of an execution order for imprisonment issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Velletri – Criminal Enforcement Office. The latter will have to serve a 4-year prison sentence for the crimes of family abuse and personal injury, committed in 2019, in Nettuno.
On the basis of the restrictive measure, the man was associated with the Velletri district prison.
In any case, the suspects are to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings, i.e. that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
