Anzio: intimidation, threats and attacks against his ex-wife. 39-year-old arrested by the State Police.

The investigators of the State Police of the Anzio-Nettuno Commissariat, as soon as they received the complaint from a woman against her ex-spouse, immediately started investigations, who then allowed the man to be arrested.

The latter, a 39-year-old Italian, already reported by the woman in the past for being violent and aggressive, with the excuse of wanting to get the dog back, In recent days he went to his ex-wife's house and, once he reached the front door, he attacked her forcing her to go to the emergency room of the Anzio hospital.

The agents ascertained that the relationship between the two had ended in 2021, when the woman decided to leave her husband following his violent behavior towards her. In fact, several times, her ex-husband, after having abused alcohol, used to attack her verbally and physically, even hitting her with a billhook.

The violence, according to the woman, also occurred in the presence of her minor children who were then forced, every time, to flee from home together with their mother.

Thus, following the latest episode, which occurred about ten days ago, during which the man reiterated his death threats against his ex-wife via a popular messaging application, the victim decided to show up at the police station to file a complaint.

The police immediately went to the home of the 39-year-old, who was already known to the police and had already been placed under house arrest in the past. Following a house search, the officers found and seized a 50 cm machete and a switchblade.

Once the proceedings were completed, the man was arrested as he was seriously suspected of the crime of domestic abuse. The arrest, at the request of the Velletri Public Prosecutor's Office, was validated.
