Alliste (Lecce): they fired 6 gunshots at the door of a house with the aim of intimidating, identified and arrested.

The Carabinieri of the Casarano Company have executed a custodial order issued by the GIP of the Court of Lecce at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, against two individuals believed to be responsible for the explosion of gunshots, which occurred on the night of January 6, against the door of a house located in the city center of Alliste.
The measure being implemented is the result of the info-investigative activity that the soldiers of the Casarano Company have carried out quickly since the day of the event.

This activity, in addition to allowing a detailed reconstruction of the story, made it possible to understand the reasons that pushed the alleged perpetrators to carry out the intimidating action.
Specifically, the evening before the criminal event, one of the two alleged perpetrators would have thrown and exploded a large firecracker in the central square of Alliste where some minors were also present.

Following the grievances and complaints made by the parents against the man recognized as the alleged perpetrator of the gesture, a dispute arose at the culmination of which the latter, brandishing a knife, threatened all those present with death, adding that he would hit them with weapons from fire.

The following night, the alleged perpetrator, with the help of an accomplice, fired six gunshots for intimidating purposes, right against the door of the home of one of the parents who had taken part in the argument the evening before.
The activity conducted by the military therefore made it possible to identify the two alleged culprits and implement an initial personal precautionary measure, arresting the first of the two suspects, a 42-year-old from Salento.

On this occasion, the Carabinieri soldiers, with the help of canine units, carried out a house search during which a 7,65 cal pistol, illegally held by the man, as well as various cartridges were found. Everything was seized.

The second alleged perpetrator, however, a 34-year-old also from Salento, who had remained untraceable, was the subject of intense searches until the soldiers of the Carabinieri, with the help of personnel from the Casarano Finance Police Department, located him. they traced him to the hamlet of Torre San Giovanni di Ugento where he was arrested.
Both defendants, now in prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority at the prison of the Salento capital, will have to answer for the crimes of possession and illegal carrying of a pistol, dangerous ignitions and explosions, aggravated damage and threats.

It is important to underline that the criminal proceedings are in the preliminary phase and that the possible guilt of those arrested in relation to the alleged crimes will have to be ascertained during the trial in the cross-examination between the parties.
