Albiate: known on social media, robs a man and tries to escape, arrested by the Carabinieri

During the night between Sunday 17 and Monday 18 November 2024, the Carabinieri of the Carate Brianza Station have a 19-year-old man arrested, of nationality Moroccan and homeless, with the robbery charge.

The attacker, who in the meantime had disposed of the stolen goods, tried to evade the control, but was stopped after a short foot chase. Subjected to a search, the 19-year-old was found in possession of approximately 13 grams of hashish, which is why he was sent to the Prefecture as drug user.

The decisive and timely intervention of the military made it possible to stop the person responsible, already known to the police for similar crimes. The arrest was communicated to the deputy public prosecutor of Monza, who ordered the presentation of the suspect at the hearing for the summary procedure that same morning.
