Agrigento, State Police, as ordered by the Police Commissioner of Agrigento Doctor Rosa Maria IRACI, and in compliance with the urgent measures regarding the containment and management of the Covid-19 emergency

Agrigento, On 14 June 2021, personnel of the State Police, as ordered by the Police Commissioner of Agrigento Doctor Rosa Maria IRACI, and in compliance with the urgent measures regarding the containment and management of the Covid-19 emergency, carried out targeted checks on public establishments in the Sciacca area, following which the men of the Police Station surprised people inside a public establishment (bar) outside of permitted hours.
In fact, after midnight, some patrons were busy consuming food and drinks inside the venue.
The owner of the bar was charged with the expected administrative sanction and the additional sanction of closure for 3 days was applied.

On 16 June 2021, on the island of Lampedusa, personnel from the Agrigento Flying Squad arrested a number of people. 04 non-EU citizens pursuant to art. 10, paragraph 2 ter and quinques of Legislative Decree 286/98, since, recipients of a refusal of entry decree, they returned to Italy within the expected three years from the actual repatriation.
As per the provisions of the PM on duty of the Agrigento Prosecutor's Office, they were subjected to house arrest at the Lampedusa hot spot.
