Agrigento, arrest of a young man from Licate caught in the act of theft inside an apartment, when he realizes he tries to escape from the window

Agrigento, In recent days, in Licata, the State Police, during police activities to prevent crimes, proceeded to the arrest of a young man from Licate caught in the act of committing a crime.

The men of the PS police station, on the orders of the local SO, went to a building in the city center where, shortly before, a theft in progress in an apartment had been reported. The staff, realizing that the entrance door was ajar and that noises were coming from the reported house, which were not justified by the late hour and the fact that the house was uninhabited, decided to enter. The young man, having been discovered, decided to abandon the stolen goods and escape through a window to avoid arrest.

However, outside the house there was a member of the patrol who ordered him to stop and surrender, therefore the young man stopped fleeing and was arrested. The man with a specific police record, pending the flagrant offence, was referred to the Prosecutor's Office under arrest for the crimes of attempted aggravated damage and theft and taken to the security rooms of the PS Commissariat of Palma di Montechiaro. Following the hearing, the judge of the Court of Agrigento validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest.
