Agrate Brianza: one adult and two minors arrested for robbery and personal injury

On the afternoon of Tuesday 1 October 2024, the Carabinieri of the Agrate Brianza Station carried out a precautionary measure order to remain at home, issued by the Juvenile Court of Milano, towards two 17 year olds, one resident in Agrate Brianza and the other domiciled in Milano, accused of aggravated robbery and aggravated personal injury in competition with a third adult individualThe robbery and the assault date back to last August 2th and occurred in “Aldo Moro” public park in Agrate Brianza.

The measure follows that of the August 19th, when the military had executed a first enforcement order of precautionary measure personal towards the adult involved, a 18enne resident in Agrate Brianza, who was placed under arrest with a ban on contact with people other than cohabiting family members and the lawyer.

The episode occurred in the afternoon, when a 25enne originally from the Ivory Coast had been approached by three young men while he was riding his bicycle. After having bloccato, they had it attacked first punching him in the face, knocking him to the ground, and then using a baseball bat, which the victim had tried to block with his foot, reporting injuries deemed curable with a prognosis of 10 days. The attackers managed to take possession of the bicycle, fleeing immediately.

The investigations, started immediately by the Carabinieri of the Agrate Brianza Station, have allowed us to precisely identify those responsible also thanks to the analysis of the images from the video surveillance cameras positioned near the site of the attack and the testimonies collected.

Further investigations have also allowed us to reconstruct an event that occurred on July 3th, 2024, when the Carabinieri of the Vimercate Company intervened in Agrate Brianza following a litigation between two young people, originated by a car accident. In particular the 18 year old, after having Car stolen from robbery victim, for which investigation is underway, had remained involved in an accident, an event that had led the latter to file a complaint for theft of the car, which was later withdrawn.

At the end of the formal procedures, the two 17-year-olds were entrusted to their respective parents at their homes with the prohibition to leave, except to go to interviews with the operators of the Social Services for Minors and the Specialist Services, after having communicated to the Carabinieri in charge of surveillance. Furthermore, they were ordered to ban on the use of social networks and communications via the Internet or mobile devices with people other than their family members. They have been notified that any violation of the obligations imposed may result in the application of the measure of community placement.
