Aci Catena (Catania), at just 15 years old he was making a killing with drug dealing. Arrested by the Carabinieri

As part of the strengthening of services throughout the Etna capital, also aimed at preventing and repressing drug-related crimes, which constitute a source of income for organised crime, The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of the Acireale Company arrested in Aci Catena, red-handed, a local minor of only 15 years of age, responsible for the possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing.

Given the acquisition of "news", obtained during the constant investigative information activity, the military had concentrated their attention in the area located at the entrance to the municipal villa of Aci Catena, in whose parking lot in front, in fact, they noticed around 16.00:20 pm the presence of a Lancia Y with two people on board, of which the driver was a XNUMX year old local already known to them for drug-related crimes, surrounded by young people on board their motorcycles who, strangely, seemed to be waiting for something or someone.

Sensing that the moment was right, The Carabinieri carried out a check, blocking and identifying those present, but at the same time saw that the passenger of the Lancia Y, the minor, perhaps believing he was not being seen by them, quickly threw something into a nearby flowerbed.

It was a “mistake” for him because, obviously, the military were keeping an eye on him and immediately recovered that package, inside which they found 5 doses of marijuana already packaged for retail sale. The subsequent personal and vehicle search carried out by the Carabinieri, despite the 15-year-old having repeatedly stressed to them the fact that he was a minor, as if this were a sort of immunity, further aggravated his position because, inside his fanny pack, the military found a further 22 doses of the same narcotic substance, as well as the sum of 400,00 euros, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The Juvenile Judicial Authority issued a precautionary measure of home confinement against the 15-year-old, who was immediately taken to the First Reception Center on Via Franchetti.
