Modica, violent quarrel that arose at the height of a chase: the reason triggering an extramarital affair. 

In recent days the soldiers of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Modica Company intervened to quell a violent argument between five people which arose at the height of a chase which took place along the SP.43 Modica – Sampieri. The violent altercation took place as triggering reason: the extramarital affair carried out by one of the litigants, on board a lorry, and the wife of one of the occupants of another vehicle, exactly a van. The violent scuffle occurred following the continuous ramming of the large vehicle, which forced the driver to stop, as he was unable to continue his journey.

The criminal action took place near one of the main arteries of the County near the Esso della Sorda petrol station, which is why at the same time as this violent contact took place, a car radio arrived in the performance of its patrolling service to control the territory. of the Aliquota Radiomobile who, having become aware of what was happening, equipped themselves and proceeded with the intervention to quell the ongoing dispute.

Despite the difficulties, the soldiers managed to prevent the situation from escalating further and to secure the driver of the large vehicle, who had already suffered numerous kicks and punches., which resulted in injuries judged to be healable in 30 days. In the meantime, the immediate alarm of the operators triggered an impressive emergency service by the soldiers of the Modica Company who, upon arriving on site, definitively brought the situation back to calm.

From the investigative activities carried out immediately, the military ascertained that during the chase the driver of the lorry had threatened the occupants of the van with a gun; the latter, instead of giving up, persisted in their attempt at aggression which then culminated with the argument in the presence of the soldiers of the Carabinieri.

All the occupants of the van were reported for personal injuries in conjunction with the driver of the large vehicle who, in turn, was reported in a state of freedom for aggravated threats, receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of a common firearm, exactly a semi-automatic pistol cal. 7,65, unregistered, fully functional, complete with magazine with 7 cartridges, as well as a further 35 ammunition of the same caliber, all found inside the cab of the truck and subsequently seized.
Also in this case, the sudden presence of the military prevented the situation from resulting in the involvement of more people and causing serious problems for public order and safety.
