On the day of 6th July, under a complex police activity ordered by the Police Commissioner of the Province of Vicenza Paolo Sartori aimed at the prevention and repression of all those forms of illegality that jeopardize civil coexistence, the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters carried out specific checks on the residence status of foreign citizens residing in our Province and subjected to criminal proceedings for various types of crime, or involved in various capacities in illegal activities.
It is operations of great importance which act as important tools for combating illegal immigration throughout the provincial territory.
Wednesday July 5th il Quaestor issued a Accompaniment order for detention at the Bari Repatriation Permanence Center against TA – citizen 40 year old Albanian irregular in Italy, with criminal and police records for crimes of various nature and severity - where he was escorted by the Immigration Office Agents of the Vicenza Police Headquarters waiting to be boarded in the next few days on a direct flight to his country of origin.
Il man's criminal record starts in 2014 when he came condemned by the Court of Vicenza to 1 and 6 months of imprisonment for persecutory acts against his girlfriend; on that occasion the police, following a report from a neighbour, intervened in an apartment in Torri di Quartesolo near the home of a girl during a violent argument that broke out with her partner. The woman reported being a victim, for at least one year, of the man's violence and of having been forced to resort to medical treatment several times for the injuries suffered.
In 2018, TA had caused a car accident with injuries while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. So, he had always been in that period arrested on charges of having committed in the Province of Padua 2 robberies with injuries. For these facts, the Albanian was sentenced to 4 years and 8 months in prison.
In 2022 was entrusted to social services at a community in the Vicenza area. Yesterday evening, as mentioned, at the end of the custody period, after being expelled the man was escorted to Bari where, in the next few days, he will be repatriated to Albania.
On the day of 6th July, instead, always up Detention Order issued by Police Commissioner Sartori this MM, a citizen, was accompanied to the Permanence Center for Repatriations in Gradisca d'Isonzo (Gorizia) 37 year old Serbian recently released from prison in Vicenza.
The man – burdened by numerous convictions for repeated thefts, housebreaking, possession of burglary tools, possession and dealing of narcotic substances, and already affected by the Personal Prevention Measures of the Oral Warning issued against him by the Police Commissioner - he had just finished serving a sentence of 2 years and 11 days in prison. In the July of the 2019, in Vicenza, he had been arrested again by the Vicenza Police while he was tried a to steal inside a hairdresser's shop in Via Sviluppo Julia, after having forced the entrance shutter with a crowbar. Furthermore, following specific investigative activities, he was detained responsible for a series of thefts committed in the Province of Vicenza, in particular within the “Garbin” school, the “Ponte di Ferro” restaurant and the “Ortoamico” company in Thiene.
In night of November 1, 2021 he had been caught in the act of committing a crime by the agents of the "Flying" Squad of the Vicenza Police Headquarters while he was intent on stealing from a tobacconist in Viale Trento, after breaking into the front door. In the previous months, during a police check, he had been found in possession of a series of objects suitable for burglary, including a 20 centimeter wire cutter and a knife: on that occasion the man was arrested near the Fogazzaro car park in Vicenza, intent on forcing the automatic pay station.
The man He used frequent the Viale quadrilateral area Milano and was often at the center of arguments with non-EU citizens. On several occasions he had been found in possession of narcotic substances, so much so that in 2022 the Vicenza police commissioner revoked his residence permit.
Al end of administrative procedures and the activities of the Judicial Police, towards the 2 non-EU citizens - both residing illegally in our territory - the Police Commissioner of the Province of Vicenza Paolo Sartori issued as many Decrees of Expulsion from the National Territory with contexts Detention Orders at the aforementioned Repatriation Permanence Centres, where they were escorted by Police Officers waiting to be boarded in the next few days on direct flights to their respective countries of origin.
In day of July 6th, the Immigration Office of the Vicenza Police Headquarters also drew in arrest MB, 32 year old citizen of Guinea Bissau, for possession of false document. In May 2016 it was landed in Italy illegally on a boat landed on the coast of Lampedusa. Subsequently the man had formalized the request for Political Asylum, but the competent Territorial Commission had rejected his request for International Protection.
Despite this, in order to still obtain a Residency permit, man he had gone to the Immigration Office of the Vicenza Police Headquarters exhibiting a Passport of Guinea Bissau reporting your data. The document, apparently meeting the expected requirements, has however suspicious the Policemen on duty in the expulsion section, who, after a careful examination of the document created with the equipment supplied, obtained confirmation of the falsehood of the same. For these reasons MB was declared under arrest by the Immigration Office Agents and made available to the Judicial Authority.
Since the beginning of this year, as part of specific police activities carried out by the Immigration Office and falling, as mentioned, in the more complex crime prevention strategy generally arranged by the Police Commissioner of the Province of Vicenza Paolo Sartori, were the following measures have been adopted:
· 37 Detention Orders at the Repatriation Permanence Centers issued by the Police Commissioner against the same number of irregular non-EU citizens in Italy and already expelled from Italy, with criminal and police records for crimes of various nature and severity. Here, after having been escorted by the Agents of the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters, they remain there waiting to be boarded as soon as possible on direct flights to their respective countries of origin;
· 2 Repatriations to the countries of origin disposed against as many non-EU citizens living in our Province and subjected to criminal proceedings for various types of crime, or involved in various capacities in illegal activities. They were escorted by plane by police officers and transferred to their respective countries of origin;
· 94 Orders of removal from the National Territory, issued by the Police Commissioner, also following specific expulsion measures, against as many non-EU citizens present illegally in our country, with an order to leave Italy within the peremptory deadline of 7 days;
· 98 Revocations / Refusals of Residence Permit ordered by the Police Commissioner towards non-EU citizens already in possession of valid residence permits but who, for various reasons - including that of having committed crimes of different types, which hinder the continuation of their regular stay in Italy - have made it necessary to revoke the permits of Stay, with an order to leave our National Territory within 14 days. If they do not comply, they will be reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office and forcibly accompanied to their country of origin;
· 3 Arrests for use of false identity documents;
· 18 Reports to the Judicial Authority for crimes of various kinds relating to immigration.
"This type of Security Police activity to combat illegal immigration is aimed at preventing prejudiced foreigners from taking root in our territory, often without the necessary qualifications to reside in our country, who, with their behaviour, cause particular social alarm and compromise civil coexistence – ha highlighted Police Commissioner Sartori – More generally, the objective is to maintain the highest possible level of legality in our Province, making citizens perceive the closeness of the Institutions to the problems and needs they consider essential".
