Vicenza, attacks 2 people and resists officers: arrested.

Assault, resistance to a public official and damage. These are the crimes for which a young man ended up on trial, CS are his initials, stopped by the local police in night between Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May.

Officers were called between via Catalani and viale Verona following the report of an attack against a woman who was in her car in the company of some acquaintances staying at the nearby hotel.

After the attack on the woman, without a clear motivation, the young man threatened with a belt and attacked a hotel employee, and then took refuge in one of the terraces of the building. In the escape he has damaged some furniture in the hall and some hotel security doors.

When the local police arrived, the young man threw a large stone at the officers without managing to hit them. In an attempt to immobilize him, the man responded by kicking, biting and punching against the officers causing injuries to one of them which healed in a few days. Once immobilized, the young man was taken to the emergency room to check whether his state of agitation was induced by the possible consumption of psychotropic substances.

The man's aggressive and violent attitude continued even in the hospital, making it necessary medical intervention to calm him down. Only on the afternoon of Sunday 15 May did the attacker come to his senses and was then taken to the local police headquarters for identification.

The public prosecutor was informed of the facts, reporting the arrest of the man for having committed the crimes of resistance and violence against a public official, injuries to two people, threats and damage.

Monday May 16 the immediate trial was held which ordered his transfer to prison to await the next hearing. The guilt of the young person under investigation will be definitively ascertained only if there is an irrevocable conviction.
