Vercelli, prevention and control activities continue on the buses on which school groups in the province travel. 

Staff from the Vercelli Section and the Varallo Detachment have been busy in recent weeks but will continue to be so in the coming months, in the control activity of the buses destined to reach, with school groups on board, the destinations much desired by the students who anxiously await the arrival of the spring period dedicated to school trips.

To also protect the youngest, the State Police carries out targeted checks to ensure the safety of school trips.

The type of checks that are meticulously carried out by the Traffic Police concern the driver's suitability to drive through breath tests and the control of the driver's documents and driving times.. Safety equipment such as first aid kit, emergency exits, tire wear, working headlights, glass breakers, fire extinguisher and the efficiency of restraint systems are also checked.

If inefficiencies and irregularities are found, the vehicle is considered unsuitable for transporting people and must therefore be replaced to guarantee the school trip service.
