Venice, threats with knives and box cutters: the two robbers arrested.

The police officers on duty in the Flying Squad have implemented a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge c/o the Court of Venice. The investigative activity directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Venice has made it possible to gather serious indications of guilt against two subjects for five episodes of aggravated robbery committed within the so-called Rione Piave a Mestre to the detriment of tourists and residents. The subjects also threatened the victims armed with knives and cutters; the investigative reconstruction, also taking advantage of the municipal video surveillance images and valorising the information gathered from the citizens who had witnessed the robberies, resulted in serious indications of guilt against the two foreign citizens.

The investigations therefore made it possible to identify the two robbers and having assessed the dangerousness of the subjects, the prosecuting judicial authority was asked for a restrictive precautionary measure, provision that was issued and immediately executed. Following the restrictive measure, the police promptly intervened and tracked down the alleged perpetrators of the crime in the area. The two subjects were thus arrested and taken to prison at the AG's disposal
