Val D'Agri: threatens and persecutes his ex-partner, the Carabinieri arrest a 40-year-old.

Too often the natural sadness for a failed life project turns into resentment, unjustified jealousy and a real sense of possession towards the ex-partner.
It must have been this and who knows what else that pervaded the soul of a 40-year-old from Val D'Agri who just couldn't accept that his ex-partner, who had been by his side until recently, was no longer "his".

Moved by these feelings and who knows what others, the man first attacked her emotionally and then, in a desperate attempt to recover their romantic relationship, he engaged in threatening behavior that culminated in a real raid on the place where the young woman was carrying out her usual activities.

Fortunately, the woman did not lose heart and found the courage to ask for help from the Single Emergency Number 112. The operator of the Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Viggiano welcomed her request and listened to what was happening .

The soldier, prepared for eventualities of this kind, ordered the immediate intervention of the Radiomobile on duty which, in a few minutes, arrived on site, catching the 40-year-old red-handed while he was clearly persecuting the victim.

The man, in compliance with the "Red Code protocol" immediately activated, was arrested and taken, as ordered by the Potenza Judicial Authority, to the Potenza District Prison awaiting a direct trial.

During the hearing held yesterday at the Court of Potenza, the arrest made by the Carabinieri was validated and the precautionary measure of house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet was issued against the suspect.

It should be noted that, for the man, the presumption of innocence applies until a final conviction is reached.
A story that constitutes yet another testimony to how timely contacting the force in the area or the Single Emergency Number 112 can really be decisive.
