They steal from supermarket car parks in Lombardy and Piedmont: two foreign criminals arrested.

Varese. On Tuesday 12 December, the Gallarate State Police, following careful investigation activities, tracked down and sent to prison, in execution of the relevant precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Court of Busto Arsizio, two foreign criminals responsible for a series of thefts deftly perpetrated in the car parks of some supermarkets located in Lombardy and Piedmont.

The investigations originated last October when the investigative section of the Commissariat, taking inspired by a woman's complaint who, while she was in the car park of a Gallaratese supermarket, was tricked by a South American who, distracting her with a false request for information, he robbed her of the bag containing money, debit cards and documents. On the same day, the woman then supplemented the complaint by reporting that someone had withdrawn money using her ATM card, which had just been stolen. From that moment on, the investigators of the police station, examining and monitoring every useful clue, have collected a number of pieces of evidence targeted harmonizing telematic investigations to actual roadside stalking.

By then comparing the various investigative results, the Gallarate Police Department managed to give a name and a face to all the members of the gang, all homeless foreigners, irregulars on the national territory and for this reason already affected by the Quaestor's order to abandon Italy, e specialized in an innumerable series of thefts which, with skill, they have created mostly in the car parks of supermarkets located in Lombardy and Piedmont and, in the last period, in those of the Varese area, using for the multiple movements, cars that have been rented from time to time to the unsuspecting car rental companies in the Milan area.

Once identified and crystallized a unequivocal sequence of evidential elements, the Gallarate Police has requested the competent Judicial Authority to issue arrest warrants for all members of the criminal association. The members of the gang, who chose to carry out their attacks mainly elderly and very often defenseless people, they were therefore transferred to prison where they will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities awaiting being judged for having, jointly and continuously, committed numerous crimes of multi-aggravated thefts and receiving stolen goods.
